It has been a major headache. Even after following all start-up directions, and setting the cook to 275, temp rose to 355. I made a few custom controllers to open/close air vents for my other grills, they always worked better than this. Not sure why the controller cant figure this out automatically. Noise. We don’t have any experience with the Scout, but there are quite a few complaints online about issues with holding temperature.
